PechaKucha Vol 2: January 23 7-9 PM

Booyah! We’re doing it again. We had a great time at our first PechaKucha, with such outstanding presentations (videos below), that we’re doing it again. Join your hosts, Creative Colony, Just Up The Pike and us, Silver Spring Inc January 23 from 7-9PM. Since we just about hit capacity the first time around, we’re moving the location down the street to Pyramid Atlantic. As before, we’re going to have some light food, booze, and outstanding presentations from local folks. All for $5. Tired of just getting wasted on a Friday night? Maybe not, but come check out some amazing presenters. You can always get wasted afterwards.

In case you missed the last one or have no idea what PechaKucha is (come by and we’ll tell you how to pronounce it), check out these great presentations from the first one the give you an idea of what you can expect.

Dan Reed from Just Up the Pike shares some ideas about walkability and urbanism using what he calls “The Ice Cream Test”. Delicious.

Mark Schrieber and Atul Sharma share “10 Tips for Placemaking in Silver Spring”.

Eric Refsland shares facts about how horseshoe crabs relate to human immunity in “The Horseshoe Crab is Magic”.

Pete Tan
A DC Native, people say I'm rude and abrasive; I say I'm passionate. I've been working in marketing since 2005. My brothers and I paid Geppi's rent through the 80s and 90s. My relief at an indoor wavepool never materializing in Silver Spring is balanced by my disappointment that City Place has dozens of shuttered storefronts. I love what you've done with your hair.
