Sunday, January 25: Deadline to register for Leo’s Run, a 5K run/walk on February 1. The event is organized by the Mowery family to honor their stillborn son Leo, who would have been raised in the the East Silver Spring community where the run will take place.
Saturdays, 10:00am-1:00pm: The heartiest farmers & shoppers in the region head to Silver Spring for the weekly Farmers Market. (Note their shorter winter hours!) Warm up with a spin around the Ice Rink or watch the skaters from the warmth of Adega Wine Cellars.
